About Me

Hi, I’m Heather!

Heather Frost-Malek Registered Dietitian

I love working with clients to prevent diabetes as it’s an area of health and well-being that is all encompassing. It’s about creating a sustainable lifestyle where focusing on our healthy eating, physical activity, stress management and me-time, as well as sleep and weight management are crucial. These are all important factors that WE are able to manage. It’s all about taking it one step at a time. What feels comfortable and realistic for you. No one else.

3 out of my 4 grandparents lived with chronic conditions. My grandmother had uncontrolled diabetes and didn’t have the education to manage her condition, in order to have a great quality of life as she aged. She passed away due to complications from diabetes. I didn’t get to spend as much time with her as I had hoped.

All this to say is that there’s more we can do with support, education, guidance, the recent advancements in technology, to feel confident in managing our health, whatever comes our way. Life is short. I want to make sure you get to build the relationships you want, travel to your heart’s content, have the energy to do everything you want to and not worry your glucose creeping up.

I am eager to meet you and partner with you to support you in this journey! Remember, it is a journey and having support and accountability along the way makes it that much easier.
