You may be wondering what “Be Well First” means. Or perhaps you have already experienced, being well, first. Let me clarify. Back in 2016 when I was just starting to think about what a private nutrition coaching business would look like, I wanted to create a business name that encompassed more than just nutrition. I wanted to focus on the whole person, knowing that areas such as stress management, sleep and physical activity were just as important factors as nutrition. That’s when “Be and Eat Well” was born. My thought pattern and vision was, you need to be well first in order to eat well (and do all the other things). What I didn’t know at the time, was how relevant this business name really was.
As we are heading into 2022, I am shifting my focus of my business to wellness coaching and refilling your cup. My homepage outlines more of my purpose and how we’ll work together focusing on all areas of health and well-being. Honestly, after these last 2 years, going on 3 years, we have reached our limits. The idea of meal planning, cooking, food logging, getting into a consistent fitness routine you actually enjoy or waking up earlier to get in 10 minutes of stretching may all seem like very daunting and overwhelming right now. Just another thing on the to-do list.
Finding ways to spend “me-time” to refill your cup, will provide you with the oh-so-important energy you need now, more than ever. Creating time in your day, in your week, to spend on yourself, enjoying things YOU like. Perhaps it’s spending 30 minutes in nature or getting a pedicure. Maybe it’s getting back to reading before bed or really savoring your morning cup of coffee or tea.
What you find enjoyment in, must be a part of your daily or weekly schedule. We may need to be flexible or creative in thinking about how to incorporate this time, but I know you can do it. We all need to do this.
Be Well First. This also follows the notion of “Be, Do, Have.” How you are being on a daily basis will help you do the things you want to do to get what you want to have. For example, the decision to be well and refilling your cup will bring you the energy to do the things such as plan balanced meals and incorporate movement, to achieve your goals of having more energy, feeling good in your clothes, sleeping well.
Whatever your well-being goals may be, perhaps improving blood sugars or cholesterol, weight management or getting into a consistent routine that makes you feel like you again, it all starts with being well first.
Refilling your cup to be well may be the most important thing you can do for yourself right now. Message me if you’d like to partner together and start this journey!
